They are more tolerant of their environment. They are great with children. My daughter always grabs a long coat to play with because they do not run away and she can dress them and put them in the stroller or basket. Their coat of fur grows to 2-4 inches and stops growing. The only additional grooming is to be brushed weekly. The long fur gives these puppies an elegant look. The English line dachshunds have a very regal appearance with big round dark eyes.
